Brookside Capital Partners (“Brookside”) is pleased to announce its investment in C. Cowles & Company (“Cowles” or the “Company”). Founded in 1838 and headquartered in North Haven, Connecticut, Cowles (www.ccowles.com) designs and manufactures mission-critical burners, controls, and related components for residential and commercial boiler systems.

Brookside provided senior debt and an equity co-investment to support the acquisition of Cowles by Bluezone Investment Partners (“Bluezone”), a Boston-based control private equity firm specializing in lower middle-market companies generating between $3 to $15 million of EBITDA.

“Cowles has built an outstanding reputation and its long-standing customer relationships, engineering expertise and commitment to quality have established a durable market position,” said Nicholas Ganias, Partner at Brookside Capital Partners. “We are excited to partner with Bluezone to support the Company’s continued growth, expand its capabilities and build upon its legacy of delivering mission-critical solutions to its customers.”
