Brookside Capital Partners is pleased to announce its participation, once again, in the Small Business Investing Scholars Program by welcoming Elizabeth Koobatian as a Summer Intern on its investment team. Ms. Koobatian, a rising junior at The University of Chicago, is studying Economics and Neuroscience. During her eight-week internship, Ms. Koobatian will participate in a diverse range of activities, including reviewing potential investments, presenting the analyses at pipeline meetings, conducting industry research and assisting with portfolio management.

“Brookside Capital Partners has been committed to building diversity in the workplace since our founding in 2001, so being a returning participant to the Small Business Investing Scholars Program is reflective of this long-held belief. We look forward to having Liz as part of the team this summer and hope to provide her with a great experience,” said Corey Sclar, Managing Partner at Brookside Capital Partners.

The Small Business Investing Scholars Program is an initiative to create inclusion within the Small Business Investment Company (SBIC) community by promoting gender, racial and ethnic diversity by giving young professionals the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the private equity and direct lending industries.
