Brookside Capital Partners is pleased to announce an additional subordinated debt and equity co-investment in AAA Distributor, Inc. (“AAA”), a portfolio company of Valesco Industries, to facilitate the acquisitions of Kitchen and Bath Solutions, Inc. (“KBS”), The Ugly Duck, Inc. (“Ugly Duck”) and Surplus Building Materials, LLC (“Surplus Building”).
KBS, located in Atlanta, GA, is a cabinet distributor serving dealers, builders, remodeling contractors, and designers. Their products serve both residential and commercial applications in kitchen, bath, laundry, office, basement, and recreational room usage. KBS sells to commercial and retail customers through its showroom as well as in-home delivery and assembly options.
Ugly Duck, located in Spokane, WA, is a direct seller of high-quality doors, cabinets, and other residential products including windows, vanities, flooring, and assorted hardware.
Surplus Building, based in Dallas, TX, is a dealer of home remodeling products such as flooring, cabinets, doors, kitchen, bath fixtures, wall tile, lighting, hardware and tools. Surplus serves retail and commercial customers in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area.
Founded in 2003 and headquartered in Philadelphia, PA, AAA is a distributor, wholesaler, and retailer of kitchen, bathroom, flooring and home improvement and remodeling products. It sells an assortment of domestic brands and its own proprietary LessCare brand across a variety of channels, including the Do-it-Yourself, Do-it-For Me, contractor, wholesale, e-commerce and commercial markets.
