Alec J. Bernstein

Alec is a Vice President at Brookside Capital Partners and his responsibilities include underwriting new investments and portfolio management.

Prior to joining Brookside Capital Partners in 2022, Alec was an Associate in Leveraged Finance at Macquarie Capital in New York, where he assisted in the origination, structuring and syndication of leveraged loans and high yield bonds. Alec also previously worked at HSBC Global Banking & Markets and KPMG.

He received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the University of Michigan, with a minor both in Business and Mandarin Chinese.

Outside of the office, Alec enjoys playing sports (basketball, tennis and golf), spending time with his family and rooting hard for the New York Jets.
