Corey L. Sclar
Managing Partner and Member of Investment Committee
Corey joined Brookside in 2001 and is responsible for overall management of the firm, sourcing new investment opportunities, portfolio management and serves as a board member or board observer for numerous Brookside portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Brookside in 2001, Corey was a Vice President at LaSalle Business Credit, Inc. where he was responsible for underwriting, structuring, documenting and monitoring leveraged transactions for middle market companies. He was also a Senior Bank Examiner with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation.
Corey is a graduate of the University of Vermont with honors in Economics and received his MBA from Columbia University.
Corey enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, biking, exercise, traveling to new places and is a passionate Boston sports fan. He is a past Treasurer and Board Member of The Blue Card, a non-profit organization that provides financial assistance to needy holocaust survivors.
